# Profiles

Profiles group your [projects]({{< relref "projects.md" >}}) together — put all your work projects in one profile and your private projects in another, so each stays out of the other's way.

Time-tracking settings are always bound to a profile, not to an individual project, so everything in a profile shares the same rules:

- Rounding, applied per entry or per day, to smooth tracked time to a clean interval.
- A daily target time (say, 8 hours a day), tracked against your [time balance]({{< relref "time-balance.md" >}}).
- Special days — sick days, vacation (with an entitlement and a running tally of days taken), and holidays.
- Automatic breaks, inserted once your tracked time for the day crosses a set limit.
